I chose "Growth" as the word for 2025

 

The word for 2025 for me is : Growth

Why did I choose the word Growth?

I want to change a few things about me this year but all of that needs Growth. I want to grow in my art journey, learn different styles and just learn more about art in general. Last year started out with me drawing a bunch but as the year went on I developed a pretty bad art block and like I have said in a previous post I would really like to overcome it this year. I simply want my skills to grow and my art journey to continue in the best way possible.

Other than that, there are a few personal things I really like to work on that have been making things hard for me. I would like to work on getting my Anxiety and Depression better under control and therefore I want to grow as a person. I want to stop internalizing so much that is out of my control, I want to stop worrying about every little thing and I want to stop feeling like things are my fault when again they were out of my control. Anxiety and Depression are both devilish cycles but one must try to break those cycles and I would really like to take that on this year.

I would also like to grow with this blog, seeing it have more potential. Being consistent with it is definitely my goal and of course seeing the blog grow would be amazing. I also don’t want to force myself to write things, that’s why I have changed for example Item of the Week and Space Friday. As much as I loved Space Friday it just didn’t feel right anymore and Item of the week felt like I was forcing myself to find something I would like to share which then felt like it was diluted. That’s why I have changed Item of the week to only appear when there is really something I feel like I need to share with you guys. I don’t want the content to be diluted just because I set myself up to “having to have a post go out”.

I hope this year to be filled with growth, happiness, prosperity, luck and lots of laughter. May we all have a lighter year than the previous one.
