10 Cozy Hobby Ideas
The new year is here and often we try some new hobbies!
Today I want to give you 10 ideas of cozy hobbies. Why cozy? Because after
getting home late from work we all want to relax and there is no better way
than something cozy. For example, cozying up with a cozy blanket and a nice hot
cup of tea, cocoa or coffee is just the best after a long day.
1.
Coloring – there are so many adult coloring
books out now that I am sure you can find something you enjoy. But if adult
coloring books get you stressed out because there is just so much going on on
the pages, use children’s coloring books! There is absolutely nothing wrong
with that.
2.
Miniature building- Cute little coffee and
flower shops are waiting to be built. Little bookstores or even book ends that
you can set into your bookshelf. You can find these Miniatures when looking up
Miniature Doll House kits and a whole bunch will show up.
3.
Reading- Talking about Bookshelves we can’t
forget we would need something to put onto our bookshelves and that of course
are books. Imagine the scene I spoke about earlier but add a book to it Isn’t
that just ultimate coziness? I know for some reading might be a given and on
your daily to dos but there are still people who don’t read and this is the
chance for them to try and see if the coziness persists.
4.
Lego – Lego has incredible kits out, granted
they always had but they have definitely also started appealing more towards
adults. I find building Legos relaxing so it deserved a spot on the list.
5.
Cozy games – Coziness has definitely been a big
thing people have started to gear towards. There are incredible games out there
that fit the vibe such as Stardew Valley, Dorfromantik, Animal Crossing and
many more.
6.
Cross stitching – I started Cross stitching when
I was very young however as I grew older I dropped the hobby but have really
been thinking about getting back into it. Cross stitching can be incredibly
therapeutic. Definitely worth a shot.
7.
Knitting/Crocheting – Just like Cross stitching
I learned Knitting in my younger years and dropped it as well as I grew older,
I recently picked it back up and started to work on a scarf. Knitting and
Crocheting are both rather relaxing and you can also sip on a nice hot drink
while you are working on your project.
8.
Journaling –
I picked up Journaling again in 2024, I used it loosely as a type of
diary, and journaling has really helped me get all the thoughts out of my brain
that were making me anxious and just needed to be spoken about to calm myself
down. It is also a great way to collect your thoughts and work through things.
There are many types of Journals you can create whether you use Journaling
prompts or use it as a way to let your artistic side shine, it is all up to
you.
9.
Diamond Paintings- I know a few years back
Diamond Paintings have been the major thing to do, that all has slowed down a
bit but I still feel like Diamond paintings are a good way to relax but like
Painting by numbers. No thoughts just art!
10. Board
Games – There are so many board games out and I am not talking about Clue or
Monopoly no, there are even better ones out there. Some can get a bit stressful
but a lot of them are cozy, such as Calico or Panorama. My family loves board
games so much. It’s a great way for the family to spend time together and have
a cozy afternoon together.
These were my 10 Cozy Hobby Ideas. I hope there was something on the list that you haven’t thought about or you used to do but it fell by the wayside. Now is the time to pick these things back up and make 2025 a cozy new year.
