Happiness and Joy

 

Today you guys will get to know me a little bit more. Today we are looking at some things that I find beautiful and bring me joy. I have opened my Happy Box on my PC, yes I have a whole folder dedicated to things that bring me joy so that when I have a bad day or I am not feeling well I can open that folder, browse through it and instantly boost my mood.

Northern Lights

One thing that forever will bring me joy and I find extremely beautiful, are the Northern Lights or also Aurora Borealis. I find them absolutely magnificent; the colors are stunning and then the dance they do is just perfection. When I lived in Alaska, I had the chance to see them and I cried when I first saw them. It was a dream come true.

Snow

I find the glistening of snow incredibly beautiful. Snow is so peaceful to me, the crunching sound under your feet when you walk on it. All of it warms my heart. It brings back so many childhood memories, taking walks in the snow, building snowmen with my friends, snowball fights and so much more.

Stars

I love space, I love the stars, the moon, I love it all. I believe it all to be quite magnificent. But I also love the shape star, lamps in the shape of stars, star wallpaper, fabrics with stars on them. Stars just bring me joy and I blame childhood me for this as well. When laying in bed I could see the sky through my window and I had countless nights where I would just stare at the stars and the moon instead of sleeping.

Alaska

I have many images of Alaska in my folder. Alaska’s scenery is absolutely breathtaking! I wish I didn’t have had to move back to Florida. Alaska brought not only me so much joy but also my kiddo, she loved Alaska so much. I miss it every day. I miss the freedom in a way that we had having had a large plot of land. I miss the wildlife that would move through, the seasons, the sky, the midnight sun. If you have the chance to go visit Alaska I say do it!

Korea

I love Korea. There are so many places I didn’t get to visit because I was pregnant and just sick 24/7 that I would love to go back and visit them all. Seoul is stunning the mixture of old and new all together is so beautiful. I can’t even find words to describe it. Seoul and Korea will forever have a special place in my heart cause that is where my child was born, that connection will never go away.

Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossoms are beautiful, I am slightly obsessed with them. If a Cherry tree would grow here well I would certainly try to have one. The color of the petals, the petal “snow”, it’s just all so beautiful. I love Cherry Blossoms so much that I have them going up my arm and my chest, as in tattoos. I find Cherry blossoms magical.

Animals

My Happy Box is also filled with images of cute animals, whether its dogs, cats, or wildlife. I have always been a lover of animals, since I was little I felt a connection with them. I love pictures of Schnauzers doing silly things or cats in sweaters. Deer with antlers covered in moss and leaves. Images like that simply bring me joy.

This post is already quite long and there are still so many more images in my Happy Box (over 1500 items in that folder) but I think you get the idea of the things that bring me joy. One more thing GLITTER, yes despite glitter being a bane of everyone's existence including mine in a way, I love it. I love things that glitter and shine. I always say it tickles my brain just right ha ha. I do have multiple glitter lave lamps in my room ha ha
