What is my favorite dessert?

Today, my loves, I want to talk to you all about my favorite dessert. Tiramisu.

Since it was just Valentine’s Day, we have to talk about something sweet, since it was such a sweet day! I really hope you all had a great day, whether you are single or in a relationship. Don’t forget you are also allowed to take yourself on a date! There is nothing wrong with that!

Let’s get back to the regular scheduled program called Tiramisu! It’s very exclamation point heavy, because this is a serious matter ha ha

I love Tiramisu so much. My local Publix sells it, but it isn’t made with ladyfingers (Savoiardi), which then makes it feel like it’s not a legit Tiramisu. However, my local French bakery sells Tiramisu, and it is made with ladyfingers and tastes so delicious. What I usually do is I get the Publix one when I have a sweet craving and just want something quick, since Publix is close,r and when I want the real deal, I drive to the bakery.

Fun Fact: I have never made it myself. However, my husband has made it for me in the past 😊

I really should get on it and make it myself. I feel like it would taste so much better than the Publix one. I am just worried, since I didn’t inherit the baker's gene, that I will mess it up ha ha

All this time, I have been chit-chatting about Tiramisu, but I have never told you what it is!! How could I? I am sure there are some people out there who have never had Tiramisu. I was in my twenties when I had it for the first time. So, Tiramisu is an Italian dessert, where the ladyfingers are soaked in coffee (and liqueur), and then layered in a mixture of mascarpone cheese, eggs, and sugar. All of it is then topped with cocoa powder. It takes super light and creamy. Apparently, Tiramisu translates to “cheer me up,” and yes, yes, it does cheer me up ha ha

I highly recommend trying it out sometime, if you have not yet had the pleasure of eating it. It really is my favorite.
