Weekly Obsessions 2.15.26
Holy
Mackerel, this week flew by like a breeze! I feel like I say this every week, but seriously, this week was extra fast.
Brandon
Sanderson’s Mistborn
I have been
reading it or listening to it most of the week. I listen to it when I draw, and
it’s really good. My husband is reading through the books right now, and he got
me to read them too. It’s definitely a change from my usual choice of genre ha ha
I am really enjoying it and am looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds!
French Press
Coffee
Our Keurig
broke a couple of weeks ago, and we have been going back and forth on whether
we should get a pour-over, which would be my husband’s favorite choice ha ha. So,
for the moment, we have been using our French Press, and I have to say that the
flavor of the coffee is so much better than with the Keurig, even though I am
emptying the pots into the French Press to use them up. Since we are sure we
aren’t getting another Keurig. I know, it’s not the best grind for the French
Press, but I don’t want to waste the pots either. We shall see if we will
continue with the French Press or if we are going to go with the Pour Over.
Bird chirps
in the morning
The weather
has been so nice, not too hot and not too cold. I love walking Tokki in the
mornings and listening to all the birds chirping. It is starting to feel like
spring as the sun’s color is changing, and it all looks so much more vibrant. I
have been a winter girly since moving to Florida, but I am noticing I am really
liking spring. I love the season of renewal and everything budding and blooming.
It’s just been so nice. Which brings me to…
Gardening
After the
hard freeze, we had some trimming to do on some of our plants, which sadly got burned
even though they were covered during the freeze. So, kiddo and I have been
spending a lot of time in the backyard, taking care of the plants and starting
to re-pot some as well. I am really looking forward to spending more time in
the garden and seeing it all bloom again.
Spring
Scents
With the
weather becoming more spring-like, I am transitioning to spring scents; my
little candle warmer now sports the Old Time Lemonade scented candle. At the store, I found some more scents that work better for spring/summer. Most of the scents
I own are winter and fall scents because those are my favorites, but I am ready
for something fresher. I am somehow ready for spring. I say that as I have a
video of a fireplace playing in the background ha ha
I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead, and I also hope it will be gentle to you.
