A tangible goal for the week ahead
We are
heading towards the end of the month, and I know it’s super easy to get stuck
in the weeds. So much to do and just so little time. I know I have been feeling
a wee bit overwhelmed lately. So, for today’s post I would like to talk to you
all about a tangible goal for the week ahead.
Before we set a goal, I want us to look at our past experiences. There have probably
been times when you set yourself a goal that seemed obtainable in theory, but
when it came to practice and real-world application, it just wasn’t working out
and seemed way too outlandish. Rather than having a massive goal, keep your
goal smaller; you can always add new goals within the week if you accomplish it
early.
Keep your goals
tangible! What does tangible even mean? It means that it is a specific goal
that can be achieved within your parameters. For example, don’t say you will
finish one large painting when you haven’t drawn in years. I mean, you could
always try, but it is way out of your comfort zone for the moment; you are
missing steps in between. So, while it is a goal, the tangibility of it is a
little bit questionable.
For me, my
tangible goal is to create five new designs this week.
It may seem
like a low number, but I can spend hours and hours on just one design. To be
able to do 5, a lot of my parameters must align, and honestly, it is only one
that really needs to align. It would be the fact that my artist block needs to
stay away ha ha.
I have
managed in the past to do five designs in two days, so the goal is tangible, and
I will try my best to get this goal finished.
Let’s chat later to see how we fared 😊
