4 things that give me momentum
Have you
ever noticed that during certain times of day, you seem to have energy and can keep going? It’s your momentum. Certain things that we do, often as a routine,
can help us get momentum, which in turn gives us motivation, whether we realize
it or not.
Today, I
want to talk about what gives me momentum, and maybe you will realize that these
little habits that you formed are the reason your motivation exists. Of course,
we get motivation from a lot of things and even people, but I want to talk
about the little things. The little habits and routines we don’t necessarily
think of as a routine/habit π
For me, I
start the day by cuddling my dog. I don’t see this as part of my routine, I just
wanted to mention that I cuddle with my dog every morning ha ha
What I
really start with is making my bed as soon as I get out of it. This way, it
is A done and B I can check something off my daily to-do list, which already
makes me feel accomplished.
After I get
dressed, I take Tokki out for a walk, and we usually have a nice 20ish-minute
walk. Which usually wakes me up a bit and gets me ready for the day.
When we get
home, I start making breakfast and my coffee π I also get Tokki’s food ready for him to eat, so he usually eats it
while I am dancing around the kitchen getting breakfast made ha ha
After I am
finished in the kitchen, I sit down at my pc and drink my coffee while checking
emails and chatting with my dad for a little while.
All these
little things are the reason I have momentum and the motivation to start my
day. Not every day is a success; there are days when I just seem extremely sluggish
and need a second cup of coffee. Most of the time, these steps help me get going for the day π
