Weekly Obsessions 7.5.26

 

Hello, hello everybody! How was your Fourth of July? We went to a friend’s house with a bunch of friends from our LARPing group, and it was so much fun. We had a sort of Potluck Pool party. We also set off some fireworks, did a lot of chitchatting, and played Tabletop Games. All in all, it was a success and tons of fun. 10/10 would do again.

This week was kind of a busy one, so I doubt I have much to share on the Obsessions front. I’ve just been drawing and designing this week.

Leather working

The Hubbster wants to get into leather working, so off kiddo and I went to our local leather working store, while he was at work, to get some supplies for him. The local leather working store is amazing; they were super helpful, already drew up a quick pattern, showed us exactly what we needed, and even showed us how to use the tools. It was such a fun experience that we all want to do it now!

Designing

I am working on another project, this one is with my husband, and I am responsible for the art design. At first, I was really intimidated by it; however, once I started looking into how to do it and researched workflows and simply other things that are part of designing something other than what I usually do. I really got into it. Now I just wish I had more time on my hands to do everything I need to do for all my projects. Some have been put on the back burner for now, not forever, but I will work on those at a slower pace.

Volunteering

This past week, I spent some extra days at the place I volunteer at. Every time I am there, I just wish I could do this for work. It’s absolutely not always super easy, but it feels rewarding. I love the people I work with, and I love what I do there.

This is it for this week's Weekly Obsession, a little shorter, but what I might do is actually journal more so I know what has been going on because at the end of the week my brain goes *poof* and I forget what I’ve obsessed about ha ha
