June Goals: Hit or Miss?
Hello all,
it is that time again when we look at my monthly goals.
Starting with
working out. I have to be honest that while my bestie was here, I did not work out. I mean, we did a ton of walking and went swimming, but working out the way I
usually do did not happen. Now I am having a hard time getting back into it. I
am trying my best, however.
When it
comes to Korean, I started doing Duolingo again, even though it is not my favorite;
the repetition helps me remember words, especially as I am doing my classes bi-weekly
at the moment. I needed something to keep the Korean fresh in my mind, and Duolingo
is good at pushing you to do it daily, especially if you have your
notifications on and the owl comes after you if it is late in the day and you
haven’t done your daily lesson yet ha ha I still love my Korean lessons, and am
very happy with how far I have gotten. I
still wish that my vocabulary would be better, so I still need to figure
something out there.
Art! I have
designed some new frog art and some new seamless patterns, and I am very happy.
I am trying to push myself a little bit but also want to learn that not
everything needs crisp lines, so I have started using different brushes that
automatically do not have crisp lines, such as crayon brushes or colored pencil
brushes. I need to get away from my perfectionism. While it is great to have in
some situations, it is also a hindrance in others. And when it comes to art, I
have noticed that it is holding me back because I am scared to mess up.
When it
comes to writing, I haven’t done any, and I need to do more, not just for the book
I want to write but for some other projects that are coming up. My brain just
feels so overloaded at the moment that I feel like I can’t do anything. It’s
just a big blob at the moment. It is the artist's block that has infected my
brain ha ha While I have ideas, I can’t seem to flesh them out. Sometimes I
wish I had different brains I could insert when I need to get certain things
done ha ha
How was your month? Any big strides towards your goals, or was it more of a low-energy month? Feel free to let me know, and keep this convo going! 😊
