Currently drawing

 

I have been trying to do both digital and traditional art, and lately I have been obsessed with oil pastels! I am really messy with them as I use my fingers to smudge them, because so far this has been working out the best. But I love the texture and the colors, you just use so much of them unless I am using them wrong ha ha

I did a piece with it, which I still need to seal. But sealing things is scary. I am currently in the planning stages of my next piece. I want to draw my dog, my little Schnauzer Tokki. I started planning it out, but then the art block and art demons got to me, and I erased the whole sketch. I have those brain art demons at the moment that are really annoying, telling me my art isn’t good enough, and all those things that artists struggle with.

I am really trying to overcome it and stay on top of my art, not let it stop me from creating. I just have to push myself a little harder to do things that don’t come easily to me. I think all artists struggle now and then, and some also have imposter syndrome, like I have. If you guys have suggestions on how to overcome art block and art demons, please leave them in the comments.

Talking about digital art, I have been working on some new mascots; it’s all still in the trial-and-error stage, but it’s exciting. Sadly, due to the art block, it’s going a little slower than expected or slower than wanted, but I am working on them, and that is what matters!

I love doing both digital and traditional art. I love sketching by hand, but I also love the help I get when drawing with Procreate. Art in general is just so much fun, and I hate it when I get in those moments where I have trouble with it. But time will pass, and I will get over this as well.
