Weekly Obsessions 1.25.26

Hello, hello 😊 Welcome to another Sunday, and that means Weekly Obsessions, so without further ado, let’s get into it.

Making things easier

Every Tuesday I volunteer, we have a lot of Spanish speakers come i,n and I don’t speak Spanish, so a lot of them have to be taken care of by my “boss”. Sometimes it can get really overwhelming when there are a lot of people who have come in. So, I wrote down everything I ask for and say, and translated it into Spanish, had it looked over by my “boss,” and this way I will be able to help out more. My “boss” was really thankful that I had taken time out of my day to come up with this list and to learn on my own time. I just don’t want her to get overwhelmed, and I want to be helpful. 😊

The Fallen Ones

I read “The Fallen Ones” by K.G. Reuss and J.A. Roles this week, and I am obsessed! I loved it, finished it in a day. Well, I listened to it, which was great cause I was cooking and cleaning while listening to the audiobook. So convenient. I do have to say it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. That is at least what I have noticed online. Again, with everything that I recommend or let you guys know I read, PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS! Like I said, it’s not for everyone, so please make sure to read the warnings and then decide if you want to read it as well.

Corvin King

Sigh, Corvin King, he is definitely my favorite narrator, and listening to “The Fallen Ones” just reestablished this. I loved it when he narrated Madness by Shantel Tessier; it’s definitely at the top of my list of favorite audiobooks. If you have not heard of Corvin King yet, highly recommend doing some research he he he

Aizo by King Gnu

I love King Gnu, and they came out with another masterpiece for the JJK opening for Season 3. Aizo is extremely catchy and just tickles my brain just right, just like Specialz did. If you are not familiar with them, this is your second research topic for the day ha ha I love their songs, not just Specialz and Aizo. They are extremely talented, and I think they deserve some recognition. 😊

Vietnamese Food

I love Vietnamese food! Really, I just love Asian food. At the Tattoo shop we go to, the owner orders food for everyone, so when my husband got his Ganon Tattoo colored in this week, we had Vietnamese food. He ordered Rice Platters with Pork Chops for everyone. Yesterday we went out as a family and had some Pho. It is always so good and makes you feel all cozy. I love our local Vietnamese Restaurant; they are always super sweet. I may also be addicted to Vietnamese coffee. So good. I made myself hungry again by typing this ha ha

Kogel Mogel

Kogel Mogel is also called Polish Eggnog. I have fond memories of drinking it as a kid, but I was never sure how much of each ingredient went in it, nor was my dad. So, when I found a Polish feast website, I was ecstatic! So many recipes for Polish foods that my mom used to make, which I didn’t have recipes for. Of course, now that I had the amounts for the Eggnog, I, of course, had to make it, and my husband and kiddo also loved it. It is a really simple recipe, all it has is Egg yolks, Sugar and some vanilla extract. Of course, you can make it into an adult version as well, by adding some rum to it. We had the family-friendly version. If you are ever interested in it, I can put up the recipe 😊 Just let me know.

I wish you all a wonderful start to the week and a relaxing Sunday. Today, I am DMing my first DnD One shot! Wish me luck.
