5 Habits for 2026
Let’s talk about habits, we all have them, some are good,
some are bad. But with a new year, we often set ourselves resolutions to keep.
More often than not, these fall by the wayside. However, I would like to create
a few habits this year that I want to keep up.
First, I want to say NO more. I prioritize others so much
that I lose sight of myself, and that needs to change.
Then, I want to get back into working out every day. I like
working out, but I got out of the habit when I had my tattoos and touch-ups,
since you can’t exercise for a while after. That completely threw me off. I
love yoga and the Peloton, even though it can be tough. But the feeling you get
when you accomplish something you thought you couldn’t do is incredible.
My Journaling habit has been a bit lackluster in the past,
but I really want to stay on top of it. This year, I got a Hobonichi Cousin
again, as well as a Weeks and a regular planner. It sounds like a lot,
and it might be, but I want to have some more me time and journal away.
My study habit needs to improve. I want to study more than I
am right now. I want to hone my Korean-speaking abilities and understand all the vocabulary. For this, I need to spend more time on it and
try to do a little bit daily. Which I have not been doing. I am being
completely transparent here, ha ha.
As I type this, I realize I need to improve my time
management. But there are so many things that come up during the day that I
also say “yes” to instead of “no,” which keep me from doing many of them.
I may need to be more selfish. I want to focus more
on myself—you can’t let yourself fade away. This year should be about me, even
if I was too afraid before to prioritize myself over others.
Do you have any habits you want to break or create this year? Share your goals and ideas in the comments—I’d love to hear your plans and support each other on this journey! 😊
