Meet Tokki my Mini Schnauzer
Hello Friends,
When I uploaded the post of a life update years ago all
you’ve heard was that we had to say Goodbye to our 14 year old Mini Schnauzer
DiNozzo and that we got a new Puppy. However, I have never introduced him.
Meet Tokki 😊
Tokki’s full name is Dal Tokki (달 토끼)
meaning Moon Rabbit in Korean. Why a Korean name you wonder?! Well, we got both
Neela and DiNozzo when we lived in Korea and Tokki was the first one that was
not from Korea so I only thought it was fitting to give him a Korean name. I
always loved Moon Rabbits so when going through name ideas this one stuck and
simply felt right. He truly is a little rabbit, he likes to jump and is able to
jump really high.
What is Tokki like? Tokki is one of the cuddliest little
puppies you can imagine. He never leaves my side and when he does I need to
check on him because that is when he becomes mischievous. He is a barker but
what Schnauzer isn’t?! He will mellow out in a few years just like my others
did. He has already calmed down a lot from the beginning to now. Tokki loves
his toys, his favorites are a little puppy that can bark and a teddy named
Charlie, when we have to travel, we bring them along since they are his comfort
items.
Tokki is peculiar when it comes to eating, in the morning when he gets his kibble someone always has to sit with him otherwise he doesn’t eat, no idea why or how that happened but here we are. His wet food he eats just fine, it is just his Kibble he needs some help with. On one hand, I believe it stems from the fact that he had retained some of his baby teeth and needed surgery to remove them it impacted his eating habits before they were removed. On the other hand, he is just an anxious pup who likes to be close to his humans.
Tokki brings us a lot of joy but is also a handful little Mr. Toad finding, squirrel and lizard hunting little Acorn and Mushroom eater. Don't worry I don't let him eat any of those, one of the reasons he has to be on a leash even in the backyard.
So yeah, that is Tokki. If you have any questions feel free
to leave a comment.
