Nightstand Tour

 

In my opinion the bed should be one of the coziest places in your house. A bed is a refuge from the everyday stress and is your cradle to go to sleep in. Coziness is a must for a peak sleep experience BUT what about around your bed? What is it that one keeps next to the bed? Today we are going to find out what I keep next to my bed, in my little ol’ nightstand 😊

First of all next to my bed is also my dogs bed that he uses as toy storage instead of his bed because my bed is also his bed ha ha He is a cuddly little boy and tends to take up more space than me in that bed.

Then my little nightstand, I didn’t have the biggest room to work with so I needed a smaller nightstand, however it still has 2 levels and a drawer, which really is perfect. One of the levels has my UGG Lap desk on it which is very fluffy and sturdy at the same time, I really like it though I rarely use it to be really honest.

Next, the top of my nightstand houses a small night lamp with a grey lampshade, matching with the grey of my couch. This lamp is awesome because not only has it a open plug but also two usb charging ports, it comes in really handy. Then of course I have a bottle of water on it as well in case I get thirsty in the middle of the night because this girl doesn’t sleep through the night ha ha Of course, I also have my phone charger on my nightstand which then turns my phone into my clock and weather station. Now the best part that is on top of my nightstand is drumroll please…… a mini glitter lava lamp. I have mentioned before that I am obsessed with glitter lava lamps and when I got a small one to help my daughter I had to buy a second one to have next to my bed, it also really helps with anxiety and calming down.

The drawer. It houses some lozenges. A copy of Forest Gump the book that my brother sent to me. A book lamp that you can clip non which is super handy. Then it also holds my old kindle case, why? No clue I just put it in there when I switched cases ha ha. A sleeping mask is also in there because I am a weirdo and fall asleep with my eyes slightly open but nowadays, I keep my room almost pitch black, so I don’t really use it unless I take a nice and needed nap. The drawer also holds a collar and leash for my dog, because in case of Tornadoes I don’t have time to go to the front door and grab his harness and leash so I have a set by the bed just in case. My pup is incredibly important to me, and I want him to be safe as well. Hurricane season can get crazy, and we do get tornadoes here, despite what a lot of people think.
