What am I currently reading?

 

If you have read my Weekly obsessions posts, you will know that I have started reading/listening to The Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson, and you will also know that I LOVE it. 

As I am typing this, I have started reading The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson. I freaking love the Mistborn series, and I am looking forward to seeing what this book entails. All I will say is that the vibe is definitely different, but it makes sense, since it is the 3rd book of a trilogy. 

I curse ( not really) Hubbster for creating this monster in loving the series. He is the reason I started reading the books. He was reading through them and is currently reading” The Stormlight Archives”. He suggested I’d give it a go, and honestly, I am so glad I did because I would have never read them on my own. I am usually a smut girly ha ha, but this is written beautifully, and the world-building is amazing. The writing keeps you locked in, and you want to find out more and what is next. BUt as I was logging my books on Goodreads, I noticed that the books may not be everybody’s cup of tea. Which, honestly, is fair. I, for one, love them and look forward to listening/reading them. 

But as a little palette cleanser, I started reading the “Blackwell Butchers Series” by Sadie Hunt. It is a Why Choose Romance book with some trigger warnings. I enjoyed the first book but was kind of sad that it wasn’t longer, but that is what part 2 is for ha ha. As always, with my recommendation, please make sure you read all trigger warnings. What I am okay with may not be what you are okay with, and I sure don’t want anyone to be uncomfortable! 

I started reading book 2, but have not yet finished it. However, by the time this posts, I might be done with it ha ha I will update you all on what books I finish in my weekly obsessions, though I often stay away from updating on smut because I know this is not for everyone. However, I might change that and just let you all know what I am reading as I go. :)
