March Bucket list

Oh, March, here we are. Can’t believe we are already here. Today we shall be looking at March’s Bucket list :) So let’s get into it.

Decorate for Spring

Spring is upon us this month, and with that also the Spring Equinox, also called Ostara :) I am somehow super excited about it this year. Everything has been so spring-like since mid- February, and I have been really enjoying it. The light is returning, and that needs to be celebrated. I may or may not have already put my spring wreath out on the door. I want to get some tulips for the house as well, lighter colors in the house, more pastel,s and just happy colors. I want to celebrate Ostara this year. We shall see if I get to do it or if time runs away from me.

Spring Clean

I know we all clean our houses frequently, but a spring clean is a deeper clean; it’s also the time to declutter and clean out the closet of things that haven’t been worn in years. It’s time to let go and refresh the house, the wardrobe! Everything! I really don’t mind a good spring cleaning. I like changing things up in the house as well. I like seeing what could be renewed and what is still good to keep; that goes for the kitchen as well. I know, the favorite spoon, but it’s melted and no longer looks like a spoon. I think it is time to get a new one ha ha Maybe upgrade and stay away from plastic and get something more durable, something that when taken care of can have a long life. I am ready for it.

Wear green on St. Patrick's Day

St. Patricks Day is this month, I haven’t been able to wear green most of the time, mostly because my wardrobe is mostly black and I don’t often wear color ha ha But this year I want to join the fun and wear green on top of that St. Patricks Day falls on my volunteer day, I know I won’t be the only one wearing green. A lot of the volunteers join in on dressing up and just making it all fun. Enjoy the little celebrations and just have some fun.

Explore the signs of spring awakening

Since spring is coming, so are the buds on every plant. I know for us, we have already had some new leaves sprout on our plants and our little crepe myrtle baby. It is fun keeping an eye on all of this, it’s nice to see things start blooming again, and the little bees are drinking some nectar :) I am so excited this year.

Plant seeds or new plants and flowers

It’s gardening time! This year I want to take good care of my plants, not that I haven’t been doing, but I just want to repot everything and refresh the soil, now that it’s getting warmer, and I doubt we will have another bout of frost or really cold weather for that matter. The plants deserve some fresh nutrients to grow nice and strong. I might also try myself on some seed flowers again. It doesn’t hurt to try. I may be tempted to get another hibiscus, but to I really need to get a 6th hibiscus?? Probably not. I do really want to get some lavender to put at the garden gate :) Some rosemary as well. I want to plant some wildflowers. I really want to try to attract more butterflies and bees this year. :)

Morning Spring Walks

As you know, I have a little pup, of course, I have to walk him every day, and lately it has been so calming to walk with him in the mornings, when the sun just starts peeking above the horizon, and the birds just start to wake up and chirp. There is just something so wonderful about it. I love hearing them chirp. I want to try to actually take a morning walk and enjoy the morning sun rays.

What is on your bucket list for March? Feel free to let me know in the comments :)
