10 things I love about spring

 

As today marks the first day of Spring, and with that, we are also celebrating Ostara, the spring equinox. I thought it would be fitting to talk about 10 things I love about Spring :) 

The following are in no particular order :) 

• Buzzing Bees
• Birdsongs
• Dewy mornings
• The yellow sunlight
• The fresh floral scent of spring
• Gardening
• The feeling of a new start
• Beautiful blooming flowers
• Baby animals
• Fresh cut flowers

I left this all as an easy-to-read list for you all. I wanted to keep it short and sweet. I am just so excited for spring this year, and I can’t quite put my finger on why that is. I love seeing the bees return to their full potential, the birds singing more and calling for each other. I love the color the sunlight takes on in spring. I thoroughly enjoy the scent spring brings due to the blossoming and blooming of all the spring flowers. I am excited to garden this year as well. I really want to spend extra time out in the yard this year and really take good care of the plants, and maybe even get a few new ones. Spring feels like a new start way more than the new year. I think it's more of a refresh, like the second start of the year ha ha In spring, we also get to see the new little baby animals that enter the world, and I can’t wait to see the muscovy and mallard ducklings. They are always so cute, and I shall try to get loads of pictures this year. If, of course, there are some. I also want to have some fresh cut flowers in the house, like tulips and hyacinths. They already have them in the store here. I just haven’t gotten around to getting some, and by that, I mean they haven’t looked very good, so I am waiting until they get a new shipment in.
