Weekly Obsessions 5.10.26

 Happy Sunday to all of you and Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there 😊

This week I was out a lot with the kiddo and found some things I started to obsess over, so let’s get to it.

Dark Academia Candle

While browsing through Barnes & Noble, we came across the Dark Academia wall, and they had so many cute items on it, bookmarks, etc. But what really caught my eye was the candle. Of course, we had to give it a good sniff, and oh my lordy, it smelled amazing. The candle is called Dark Academia, and it smells like Vintage Leather and Oud. The smell is incredible! Going to be looking for a dupe because I was not going to pay $30. Ha ha

Miniatures

Kiddo started to have an interest in painting miniatures, this week we went out and got a couple of paints for her and us, ha ha My husband has always had an interest in painting figurines and miniatures. He thought this would be the perfect family activity. So here we are on our Miniature painting adventure. We still need to get some figures for my husband and me to paint, but the kiddo is all set.

Chibi

I started drawing chibi figures, well, just the upper body for now, and I made PFPs for my whole family. Then this week, I got my first commission to create a Chibi PFP for someone outside of my family. I was so thrilled. I am starting to move in the direction I want to move to and am getting commissions, which makes me so happy.

The Hero of Ages

I finished The Hero of Ages on Monday. I have shed a few tears during the ending and now feel kind of lost as to what I should be reading now. I know I have a bunch of books I started, but they just aren’t calling me at the moment. I also have a bunch of books on my TBR and sitting at home that want to be read, but I don’t know. They aren’t the vibe I am currently wanting to go for.

Pursuit of Jade

I started watching the C-Drama Pursuit of Jade because it has one of my favorite C-Actresses in it, Tian Xi Wei. It is adorable, and I love a good period piece. Recommend watching, take this with a grain of salt as I am only on episode 7 ha ha
