December Goals: Hit or Miss?

Hello everybody,

Welcome to the last Goals post of 2025. Today I want to talk about not only how I have been doing in December but also how I have fared during the whole year. Looking at what my wishes for 2025 were and how 2025 ended up. Let’s get started.

This month was very active when it came to art. I worked on my art school projects and assignments, which were harder than I thought they would be ha ha. Lots of practice was involved with that, which came with a little bit of frustration but also intimidation. I questioned myself whether or not I could actually do it, but I pushed through. Some things looked better than others, but that’s what it is all about. We learn from our mistakes.

I’ve also done a lot of design work for some other projects, so my iPad and my Apple pencil have been really busy, but I am extremely happy about the progress for this month.

Workout-wise, I have not been doing so well. As always, I have continued walking, but I have not been to the garage to work out. That is the only downside of tattoos or touch-ups: you have to wait to work out, and then you get into the habit of not doing it. However, I will get back to it because my back is not happy with me.

Korean has been going great, I am really happy with the way I am learning, but I want to dedicate a bit more time to it than I have been doing.

Let’s look at the overall progress towards my goals. I have read my initial goal post and realized that I put in there that I want to work on writing more stories, but I have realized that I had quickly forgotten that goal. So, I have not been writing any stories really this year, maybe a few, but nothing major. Which saddens me a little bit, but what can you do lol.

Art-wise, I have definitely been improving and working a lot on it this year, which makes me super happy, and I hope to keep going with it in the new year.

For Korean, I have made big leaps, too, compared to where I was at the beginning of the year. Especially in the last few months, I have switched up the way I take notes during class, and that has helped me so much. I retain a lot more from the lessons than I did before.

All in all, I am proud of myself for how I have persevered throughout the year. I hope that 2026 will be just as productive. Keep an eye out for the 2026 Goals post 😊
