December Bucket list
Happy December you guys,
Last post, we looked at my mood board, and today I want to talk to you guys about my bucket list for December.
Last post, we looked at my mood board, and today I want to talk to you guys about my bucket list for December.
Go see holiday lights
My daughter and I love to take walks in the dark to see all the decorations around our neighborhood. It has kind of become a tradition, and we do it multiple times in December as more people start to decorate. We just love the lights and the holiday spirit it creates. I am hoping that a lot of people will have decorations this year, it just makes it so magical. Some of our neighbors had a few decorations up as soon as it hit November, and honestly, I was contemplating as well to add lights to our bushes because our walkway is so dark, but I didn’t want to be on the radar of the HOA ha ha
Make a gingerbread house
Last year, we didn’t get to make one, kiddo just wasn’t feeling well, as her joint pains had gotten worse, but this year, I hope to make a gingerbread house again. It is always so much fun. I do buy the premade gingerbread kits because, as I have mentioned before, I didn’t inherit the baking gene that one went to my brother ha ha
Collect a new ornament
As I have mentioned in my mood board post, every year we get a few new special ornaments for our tree. A collection of things, and some have memories attached to them. It is always fun finding a new ornament. Last year, we got dumplings and soy sauce. I wonder which ones we will add this year.
Make paper snowflakes
I love making paper snowflakes ever since I was a kid. I want to make some this year and tape them to our large glass doors as a way of decorations for Christmas. They will all be unique, and I know it will make a fun activity for the whole family.
Decorate the house
Of course, one thing that we cannot forget in December is to decorate the house for the holiday season, fairy lights, ornaments, cute gnomes, oh my goodness, I am so excited. The smell of cinnamon in the air. I can already see it and smell it.
Make a hot chocolate bar
This year, I want to make a hot chocolate bar. I will see if kiddo wants to invite some friends to the house, and we have a hot chocolate party and watch some Christmas movies. I think that would be a lot of fun and will create some awesome memories.
Decorate the Christmas tree
One thing we cannot forget, either, is decorating the tree. My gnome tree topper will stand proud another year ha ha. One thing we like to do while decorating the tree is listening to Christmas songs, especially traditional and classic carols, which brings me to my next point.
Listen to Classic Carols
We love listening to them while decorating the tree, and we have done it ever since kiddo was little. She even requests it now, when we decorate the tree, it has simply become a part of the decorating process, that cannot be missed.
Wear Christmas PJ’s
Of course, it’s cozy season, and with that come cozy pajamas. I am guilty, however, and have already started my Christmas pajamas in November; I just couldn’t wait. Do you have a favorite pair of pajamas??
