Weekly Obsessions 11.23.25

Ice Hockey

It’s been a while since I’ve been to an ice hockey game, but this week we had the opportunity to go see the Lightning play against the Edmonton Oilers, and it was magnificent. We had four tickets, so of course, we brought the kiddo and her best friend. The kids had so much fun, ate lots of good food (we had Loge seats, so we had incredible food to eat as well), and got really into it. Lightning wound up winning in overtime, and oh my gosh, the energy was just something else. The coolest thing that I didn’t know the arena had was two Tesla coils suspended from the roof. They certainly went with it when it came to Lightning as a brand 😊

Art

I have been designing every day this week and have also worked on my classes a bit. I am trying to improve my understanding of how light interacts with my pieces, and I think I am making progress. On Friday, I worked on an Oni mask with a Chrysanthemum, and while it did take me most of the day, the result is amazing. I am very proud of myself.

Christmas Sweets

I am so glad we have an Aldi nearby because they always bring out Christmas cookies and German Sweets for Christmas, and it makes it feel a little more like home. Did I buy more than I needed to?? Yes, yes, I did.

Peacemaker

Hubbster and I started watching Peacemaker this week, and I am actually really enjoying it. I think it’s a good mixture of fun, seriousness, craziness, and everything in between.

Ornaments

I know I spoke about the Bigfoot ornament last week, but I am still obsessing about it. I am also really trying to find the perfect ornaments for this year. So far, I haven’t had any luck, or nothing has really caught my eye, might be a better way to phrase it. 😊 Do you get special ornaments?
