November Bucket list
It’s time for the November bucket list!
For me, November
is all about fall vibes meet winter vibes. I often count November as a winter
month even though I fully know it’s still fall, that’s why I mix the two seasons
together in November. π
Playing
Board games
I want to
make use of the cozy season and start playing more board games with my family.
We used to have a board game day, but then life happened, and we couldn’t do it
one day, and then we forgot the next, and so on. I want to make a conscious effort to spend more time with my family and revive board game nights.
Going on a
fall nature walk
Despite
living in Florida and our trees not really turning colors, besides the few
sycamore trees we have in the neighborhood, it is still nice to go outside and
go for a walk. If we get some cold fronts this month, I will definitely make use of the cooler weather and go walk by
the lake near our house. It is beautiful and so fun, it has just been too hot
and thunderstormy to go and enjoy it.
Doing a puzzle
My goal is
to finish the Harry Potter puzzle that was painted by Thomas Kinkade. It’s a beautiful
puzzle, but so hard, we have already given up once ha ha. Can we actually get
through it this time?
Supporting
small businesses
I really
want to give my money to small businesses. We have visited some local shops in
the past, and everyone is always so nice, talkative, and appreciative when
walking in and browsing or asking questions. It is such a nice thing that is
hard to get in the big chain stores. I feel as if in the big chain stores, employees are often just a number. Personability kind of has gotten thrown out
the window there, while at a small shop, employees are still seen as people. I
love supporting small art businesses as well. I would rather buy from a person than from somewhere where something was mass-produced and created by AI.
Watching
the Thanksgiving Parade
While I don’t
necessarily celebrate the American idea of Thanksgiving, we like watching the parade,
it’s always nice to see what artists will perform, seeing snippets from
Broadway, and of course, we can’t forget about the floats π
Gathering Advent
calendars
It is time
again to go on the hunt for Advent calendars. This year, my daughter is opting
out of her David’s Tea Calendar because it largely has the same ones as last
year, and that kind of took the fun out of it two years ago when the same thing
happened. So she is choosing another calendar this year. Which one it will be,
I have yet to find out.
Making a
dish for a neighbor
We are
invited for Friendsgiving this year, same as last year; however, this year we
might have my father-in-law over, so we won’t make it over to our neighbors.
However, recently I was told that they really want to have my sweet potato
casserole again. So, even though I won’t be able to make it to Friendsgiving, I
will be sure to make my casserole for them and bring it over to them π It brought me a lot of joy hearing that they loved the casserole. I am
incredibly critical of the things I do, which includes cooking and baking, so hearing
from someone outside of my family that they loved it meant the world to me.
Breakfast for
dinner
While this
is not super unusual in our house, it has been months since I made breakfast for
dinner, especially French toast. So, this month we will be doing just that. I
love using brioche for my French toast and extra cinnamon, because I simply
love cinnamon, and the brioche gives the French toast a wonderful flavor.
Feeding the
squirrels and birds
I have been
slacking on my feeding this year, the squirrels have been complaining, so this
month I want to fill up those feeders and have my little friends return to the
yard. The bunny that lives in our backyard will also appreciate the feed that
drops to the ground.
How is your bucket list looking for November? Are you all excited for the cooler weather? Feel free to leave your bucket list in the comments π
