Favorite Summer Memory
My favorite summer memory is playing outside for hours and hours only coming home when my parents called for us from the window.
My brother, I and some of our friends would build furniture out of sand in the sandbox and it would stay like that for days, at one point we had a nice sand couch with stairs to go down to the couch. It was a literal sandbox btw.
We would do that all the time , it was so much fun.
We used to also climb the trees around the sandboxes they were incredibly climbable and we called one of them our treehouse because it had different levels that you could sit on and the branches were almost like stairs twisting around the tree so that incredibly helped when it came to climbing it.
It was a great time when I was growing up! We had friends that didn’t live far away so we would always ride our bikes together or play other games together, for most of them we even went to the same school so we had known each other since we were little.
It was simply a great time and you always knew someone would be outside or you could go ring the doorbell and see if they were able to come outside. Honestly, I think back then was a simpler time in a way but I feel like every generation will say that. Ha ha
Another great memory is going to my grandpas garden. He would always plant some vegetables and we would help plant and then later on harvest them. We always had plenty of potatoes ha ha He also had Rhubarb planted and when we wanted a sweet treat while playing in the garden we would cut a stalk off and then dip it in sugar and just take bites out of the stalk. It was so good. The people that had the garden across from my grandpa were the sweetest people in the world they would always invite my brother and I to play Jenga with them or card games and we would just hang out drink iced tea or lemonade, even got to eat cookies :)
I love all these summer memories.
What are some of your favorite summer memories?? Feel free to let me know in the comments.
